"How ya doin'?" was inspired by the daily greetings of Americans during Phuong's residence in Cleveland and Durham.
Who, when, and where would you ask "How ya doin'?"
How would you feel when you ask "How ya doin'?"
How would you answer with the question "How ya doin'?"
Is that connected you to the past?
You meet people on the street or friends, and this question will bring connections inside of you and from you to others. Some relationships may bring you somewhere and some may go nowhere.
Based on data collection by recording conversations between her and people whom she met, to create the main materials for the work. Many personal emotional stories of the actor and the people whom she has met in the US are great inspirations for this work.
